The EIMCO-K.C.P. Ltd (EKCP) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of K.C.P.Sugar and Industries Corporation Ltd (KSICL).
KSICL was incorporated in the year 1995 in India with a view to take over the sugar, distillery, engineering units of The K.C.P.Ltd, by virtue of a Scheme of Arrangement entered between the Companies duly approved by the Hon’ble High Court of Madras. KSICL owns two sugar factories with an aggregate sugarcane crushing capacity of 11500 MT per day, in addition to a 50 KLPD Distillery, two Incidental Cogeneration plants with an aggregate capacity of 20 MW per hour, Bio-fertilizer, Calcium Lactate, and CO2 plants. The shares of the Company are listed with National and Bombay Stock Exchanges.

Mr.V.M.Rao was the founder Chairman and Managing Director of KSICL and the Chairperson of The EIMCO-K.C.P. Ltd. He was a
Mechanical Engineer from Guindy Engineering College, Madras, and completed his Science Masters in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S.A. Mr.V.M.Rao was a technocrat par excellence well known in the industry. With thorough hands-on experience coupled with necessary business acumen and professional expertise to independently look after the affairs of The K.C.P. Ltd and its multifaceted divisions, he was appointed as Technical Director of the Company from 1957 and he held the position of Managing Director from 1970–1980.
Visualising the growing need for effluent treatment in India, he had the foresight to explore the growth potential and hence thought it fit to promote an exclusive division under the joint venture with Eimco Corporation, USA, in the year 1967, and that was how the seeds of the new Company christened as The Eimco-K.C.P.Ltd, were sown in India.
After the sudden demise of Mr.V.M.Rao, his wife Mrs. Irmgard Velagapudi, took the reins of the Company and under her dynamic leadership, the Company is swiftly moving from strength to strength.
Smt. Irmgard Velagapudi M.Rao, Chairperson, aged 70 years, is a German National, wife of Sri. V.M.Rao, the Promoter of this Company, and holds a German Diploma in Commerce. She was instrumental in managing the Company through one of the most difficult times for the industry and the Company and her sustained efforts had resulted in the improved crushing and profitability.
Smt. V. Kiran Rao, Vice Chairperson, aged 41 years, is a German National, an Anthropologist, Historian and a graduate from the University of London and had worked in various assignments in Europe and the United Kingdom. Under the leadership of her father, Sri.V.M.Rao, she had gained wide experience in the sugar industry and related matters.
